Respite care

Short-term care and support for up to 63 days a year, subsidised by the Australian Government.

Dementia care

Specialised, person-centred care in Ganya Cottage, our 14-bed dementia-specific wing.

We are an 84-bed home which includes a 14-bed dementia-specific wing in Ganya Cottage. All rooms are single rooms with an ensuite. We encourage residents to furnish their room with personal items to create a familiar, homely atmosphere.

There are multiple lounge areas, dining, laundry and hairdressing services, a full activities program and personal care services. Outside, there are lovely outdoor areas to enjoy, surrounded by landscaped gardens.

Care services

Cowra Retirement Village offers both respite and permanent residential care.

Respite care

Short-term care for up to 63 days per financial year at a reduced, government-subsidised rate. Respite is there when your carer is unable to look after you at home for a while, or simply needs a break. We take care of you so you can rest and recover, and your carer can take a holiday too.

Permanent care

If you are unable to care for yourself or be cared for at home, we offer long-term permanent care. We help take the burdens of everyday living away so you can relax and rest, in a comfortable and safe environment you can call home.

Getting assessed

To be eligible for either type of care you need an assessment by the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). If you have not already been assessed, you or your nominated representative can call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or visit the My Aged Care website. My Aged Care staff will ask about your current needs and circumstances so they can refer you for an assessment.
